For our Fermentation and Distillation Department, we are looking for a Distillery Operator who is responsible for the safe operation and monitoring of the distillation, fermentation, molasses pre-treatment and utilities systems of the new F&D Plant. The candidate we are looking for will be responsible for the following core duties: - Starting up, operating and monitoring the molasses pre-treatment system (pre-fermentation) as well as the temperatures in the fermenters to ensure the fermentation of the mash is completed. - Adjusting process variables such as temperature, pressure and flow rate to optimize proper yeast propagation and fermentation. - Monitoring and interpreting process data from control systems (SCADA) to identify deviations and take corrective action. - Starting up, operating, shutting down and monitoring distillation columns, pumps and associated equipment. - Monitoring and, where necessary, adjusting the water softeners to ensure a soft water supply for the steam boilers and cooling installations. - Identifying and resolving minor faults and reporting larger technical issues to maintenance technicians. - Regularly carrying out quality checks on raw materials and finished products by taking samples for analysis according to established standards. - Following all safety procedures and regulations relating to handling hazardous materials and operating distillation, fermentation and utility systems. - Performing routine maintenance checks on distillation, fermentation and utility systems. - Keeping detailed logs of operational data, such as process parameters, quality checks and deviations. - Preparing reports on production volumes, product quality and operational issues. - Monitoring stock levels of raw materials and ensuring sufficient availability for production. - Managing the storage and transfer of finished products. Some requirements for this role: - Vocational diploma (NATIN/AMTO) in chemistry, process technology or mechanical engineering. - Good knowledge of the basic principles of chemistry and chemical processes. - Familiarity with distillation techniques and equipment. - Experience with process control systems (SCADA) is a plus. - Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety procedures. - Accuracy and strong analytical skills. - Technical insight and problem-solving ability in the event of equipment failures. - Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. - Willingness to work shifts and cope with a demanding work environment. - Knowledge of HSEQ standards: ISO 9001, 14001, FSC 22000 and other QC standards is a plus. - Administrative work experience (Navision, Word and Excel) is a plus We offer: - A challenging role within a dynamic company. - Excellent terms of employment. - Ample opportunities for growth and training. For our HSEQ Department, we are looking for an HSEQ Coordinator who is responsible for carrying out and coordinating audits and for safeguarding the safety and health of employees, as well as the quality of products and services. In addition, the HSEQ Coordinator initiates, develops and coordinates HSEQ policy and ensures the implementation of and compliance with national and international HSEQ norms and standards. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Manages the officer(s) of the HSEQ department. - Conducts HSEQ audits and assesses the consequences of their findings. - Ensures regular and unplanned inspections across all departments, taking corrective action where needed. - Advises Managers and Heads on HSEQ policy developments. - Develops projects for the implementation and/or amendment of quality, safety, health and environmental legislation, standards, procedures and processes. - Maintains an up-to-date HSEQ management information system in cooperation with Managers and Heads. - Makes proposals for developing, formulating, implementing and maintaining all relevant local and international standards, including ISO 9000, 14001, 22000 and OHSAS 18001. The ideal candidate: - Holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or Quality Management Systems. - Has at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role. - Has knowledge of HSEQ standards and change strategies and processes. - Can analyze risks, processes and audit results, identify bottlenecks and formulate appropriate improvement measures. - Has strong project management skills and the ability to plan, coordinate and successfully deliver multiple projects and improvement initiatives simultaneously. - Knows how to build support for HSEQ policy and fosters a proactive safety and quality culture within the organization. - Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, guide employees, advise stakeholders and hold constructive discussions at various organizational levels. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Produces various alcohol products according to the M&B Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) based on instructions from the Head M&B. - Analyzes samples through laboratory and organoleptic testing for color, aroma and strength. - Assembles stock for the production process. - Operates machinery to mix safely and in accordance with SOP. - Supplies the Bottling department with finished product. - Collects samples of materials or products for laboratory testing. - Maintains accurate and timely process and inventory records. - Identifies and corrects deviations from standard process parameters. - Collaborates with the maintenance and other production teams to ensure the safe and efficient operation of warehouse facilities. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Monitors and ensures the continuous and smooth progress of the bottling process (in accordance with the standards and work procedures). - Sets up and checks the machines for the correct SKU of the relevant packaging line. - Reviews planned tasks in the department work schedule (Excel file) and follows up on or completes outstanding “write-ups” (work orders). - Prepares immediate and adequate reporting and, where possible, resolves qualitative and/or quantitative deviations in the bottling process, whether or not in collaboration with the Technician on duty. - Takes initiative and ensures the timely supply of materials, chemicals, raw materials and auxiliary substances. - Acts as troubleshooter for deviations, problems and stoppages, whether or not in collaboration with the Technician on duty. The ideal candidate: - Holds at least a technical vocational diploma, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Process Technology, with relevant work experience. - Has administrative work experience (Navision, Word and Excel). - Can adequately operate a forklift. - Is able to analyze problems and form sound judgments. - Is honest, customer-oriented, reliable, committed and has a flexible attitude. - Works accurately, is results- and solution-oriented, shows drive, takes initiative and can be deployed flexibly across multiple tasks. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Carries out adequate maintenance and repair work within SAB and SABD (in accordance with work procedures/work orders) on, among other things, all installations, buildings, equipment, machinery, utility facilities (water, steam, electricity, telecommunications, vacuum and compressed air), rolling stock and cooling installations, as well as any materials required for the company. - Checks and ensures the smooth progress of inspection work. - Manages the utility facilities (water, steam, electricity, telecommunications, vacuum and compressed air). - Carries out welding work for the maintenance, repair and technical modification of installations, equipment and structures. - Operates and uses the lathe to manufacture, adjust and repair technical parts in accordance with specifications and quality standards. - Works in accordance with the applicable safety, quality, environmental and company regulations. The ideal candidate: - Holds at least a technical vocational diploma, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with relevant work experience. - Has solid technical knowledge and skills in maintenance, repairs, welding and lathe work. - Is able to identify, analyze and report problems and form sound judgments. - Is honest, reliable, committed and has a flexible attitude. - Works accurately, is results- and solution-oriented, shows drive and takes initiative. - Is in good physical condition and can be deployed flexibly across multiple tasks.
