For our Logistics Department, we are looking for a Logistics Manager who creates the most efficient possible flow of goods and/or services from the company towards the consumer or customer, optimizes purchasing processes, maintains good relationships with suppliers and manages inventory.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Logistics Department.
  • Responsible for managing the various departments linked to the production chain, such as Stores & Stocks, logistics, purchasing, etc.
  • Ensures the most efficient possible production chain by continuously analyzing and improving processes wherever possible.
  • Determines the purchasing strategy and delivery targets for the company and motivates the team to achieve them.
  • Determines purchasing and inventory plans and monitors whether deadlines are met.
  • Determines short- and medium-term supplier strategies.
  • Concludes contracts with suppliers, oversees their execution, and maintains and improves relationships with suppliers.

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds at least a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, (Technical) Business Administration or Operations Management, preferably with relevant work experience.
  • Has a strong affinity for planning and logistics.
  • Has demonstrable experience with change processes and structuring various processes.
  • Has knowledge of purchasing goods and services as well as negotiating with suppliers.
  • Has experience with MS Office (in particular Word and Excel; Navision is a plus).
