For our Supply Chain Department, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who creates as efficient a flow of goods and/or services from the company to the consumer or customer as possible, optimises purchasing processes, maintains good supplier relationships, and manages inventory.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Leads the Supply Chain Department.
- Responsible for managing the various departments linked to the production chain, such as Stores & Stock, logistics, purchasing, etc.
- Ensures as efficient a supply chain as possible by constantly analysing processes and improving them where possible.
- Defines purchasing strategy and delivery objectives for the company and motivates the team to achieve them.
- Sets purchasing and inventory plans and checks whether deadlines are met.
- Defines supplier strategies for the short and medium term.
- Concludes contracts with suppliers, monitors their execution, and maintains and improves supplier relationships.
The ideal candidate:
- Completed HBO degree in Supply Chain Management, (technical) Business Administration, or Operations Management, preferably with relevant work experience.
- Strong affinity with planning and logistics.
- Demonstrable experience with change trajectories and structuring various processes.
- Knowledge of purchasing goods and services and negotiating with suppliers.
- Experience with MS Office (especially Word and Excel; Navision is a plus).
