For our HSEQ Department, we are looking for an HSE Officer responsible for drafting, advising on, and implementing HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policy objectives in line with all relevant nationally and internationally accepted HSE management systems and standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Conducting HSE audits and assessing implementation consequences;
- Carrying out regular and unplanned inspections across all departments and taking corrective and preventive action where needed;
- Following national and international developments in relevant local and international standards including ISO 9000, 14001, 22000 and OHSAS 18001 and making proposals for development, formulation, implementation, and maintenance;
- Advising managers and department heads on HSE policy developments;
- Working on projects to implement and/or change quality, safety, health, and environmental legislation, standards, procedures, and processes;
- Responsible for setting up and keeping an HSE management information system up to date in collaboration with managers and department heads;
- Benchmarking with other companies in the HSE field;
The ideal candidate:
- HBO/academic level in environmental sciences or quality management systems;
- At least 3 years of relevant HSE work experience;
- Knowledge of HSE standards ISO 9000, 14001, 22000 and OHSAS 18001;
- Experience with process activities and project management;
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and Navision is a plus
