Suriname's most celebrated dark rum was introduced in 1982 to commemorate the centenary of the Mariënburg sugar plantation. Borgoe Gold is aged in traditional oak barrels before being further blended to its utmost perfection. This perfection provides it with a velvety composition with a light hint of wood and caramel that will make even the most discerning rum lover succumb. This light rum is extremely suitable for making cocktails and other mixed drinks. "Borgoe-Cola" is the most famous mixed drink in Suriname.
